Grabbing a cup of coffee and watching the world go back is one of my favourite things to do. I love to do it with friends or by myself with a book, its such a simple but effective way of hitting pause for a little while.
Here’s a round up of my favourite places in Liverpool to get a cup of joe (who says cup of joe? I certainly don’t but I’ve just typed it):

My absolute favourite place in town. Whether it’s meeting a friend, having a sit down between appointments or just taking a break from the day, Rococo is always somewhere I go. They do great food as well as a fabulous selection of cakes.

As well as doing some of the best bagels in town, The Bagelry’s Ethiopian blend is outstanding. They sell bags of the coffee they brew so you can recreate that beautiful blend at home.

Holding things down over the water is the wonderful Blooming Skull Coffee. It’s very rare that we don’t pop in here as a treat when we’re in the Wirral and I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad cup of coffee here!

It’s so easy to rush right past this little slice of Scandi heaven on Hanover Street but Malmo Mat is a hidden gem. Next time you fancy a coffee break, this is your gaff. Order some food while you’re there too because it bloody lovely!

Technically not a coffee shop and technically not an actual cup of coffee but The Everyman Cinema (located in the Met Quarter) does the best Espresso Martini in Liverpool. Their actual coffee comes with a little bar of Green & Blacks too, if you fancy something a bit more sobering.
