Happy Chinese New Year and post-Valentines Day! I feel like February has been so busy with different festivities around Liverpool each weekend. My boyfriend’s birthday is the day before Valentines day, so we took a day off and had a stroll through China Town to The Bagelry.
The Bagelry has been open for a few years, but whenever we have previously tried to visit, it has been closed or the kitchen isn’t working. Fortunately everything was open for business, and we got some delicious brunch.
I ordered the egg, bacon and avocado on a sesame bagel with a latte with dairy-free milk. Jon ordered a bacon, egg and cheese also on a sesame bagel with a black coffee. The bagels are made fresh onsite and once they’re gone, they are gone! You can also get rainbow bagels during the weekend if you fancy something colourful.
We also ordered a peanut butter and almond doughnut and a chocolate and pecan brownie, also freshly made. It’s dog friendly (always a bonus) and has some really cool gig posters on the wall, making The Bagelry a chilled place to get a light brunch or snack.
The Bagelry are open Tuesday to Sunday, and can be found on Instagram & Facebook. They’re currently doing a pop-up at Tiny Rick’s Cafe until 3rd March – bagels and boardgames, what a dream combination!
