Grand National Breakfast Guide

Grand National Weekend is Scouse institution. Everyone looks their best, has a ball and hopes the weather is alright for one of the best weekends in Liverpool’s calendar. This year’s Grand National will take place Thursday 12th April to Saturday 14th April at Aintree Race Course.

However, this is not a guide on what to wear or who to bet on, but a guide to the pre-race shenanigans and where to get the most important meal of the day before placing your bets.


Tucked away in Wolstenholme Square, Clockworks is a fabulous hidden gem for any meal of the day. For Grand National, they are offering a Full Butchers Breakfast with a glass of prosecco for £12, Friday to Saturday. Cosy Club

Liverpool One’s Cosy Club are offering a Full English with a glass of prosecco or a pint for £13.50! This deal is from Thursday to Saturday, and is only a short walk away from Central Station to catch the train to Aintree.

HUS are offering a Full English with a pint or glass of prosecco for £10 all weekend. Also, happy birthday to HUS, who have been open for one year!

San Carlo

This Castle Street hot spot are offering a champagne breakfast buffet on Friday and Saturday. Book ahead if you don’t want to be disappointed.

Smugglers Cove

Start your race day off at the Albert Dock with a £25 per person bottomless brunch at Smugglers Cove.

Head Of Steam

Super close to Central Station, Head of Steam are offering a Prosecco Breakfast for £10, with booth packages and table reservations available.
